Our SEND-First Approach
Across NET Academies Trust, we adopt a SEND-first approach, ensuring that the needs of our most vulnerable learners are considered in all aspects of school life. We believe that inclusive practice benefits every child and that high-quality provision for pupils with SEND strengthens outcomes for all learners.
Inclusion is everyone's responsibility. All staff work collaboratively to create environments where children feel safe, understood, respected and supported to reach their potential.
We value the whole child and take a holistic approach to development, recognising the importance of:
- Communication and language
- Emotional wellbeing
- Physical development
- Independence and life skills
- Relationships and belonging
- Academic achievement
We work in partnership with families, recognising parents and carers as the experts on their children and as essential partners in every stage of support and decision-making.
